40years of publishing for Indian classrooms
Since 1986 · Madurai
A book on its own is a purchase. A book with a plan behind it is a programme.
The Jessi legacy
Jessi began in 1970 as a single house in Madurai that published, printed and supplied the city’s schools. In 1986 publishing was given a house of its own. Generations of children have learned to read, write and count from a Jessi book — and the family behind it has never stopped working inside schools.

Six things you will not find together anywhere else on a school booklist.
Every series arrives with the teaching plan, the parent guidance and a digital companion — so the book actually works in class.
The family behind Jessi has worked alongside a Madurai school since 1988. Our books are shaped by what happens in classrooms, not in catalogue meetings.
Programmes from respected international publishers and creators, adapted for Indian syllabuses, Indian prices and Indian children.
Our handwriting programme is built on occupational-therapy research — letters taught in stroke families, practice paced in short daily sessions.
Language programmes written by people who teach them, from the first letter in KG to literature in the middle school.
Written, printed and delivered by the same family since 1970. Books reach your school on time, in the numbers you ordered.
International collaborations
Jessi works with respected international publishers and education creators to bring proven programmes to India — adapted, printed and supported here.

Series spotlight
The homepage never becomes a catalogue wall. The spotlight rotates across the Jessi list.

Beyond publishing
Jessi is part of JESSI, a family enterprise that has served schools in every way a school needs serving.
Notebooks made in our own units, school uniforms, in-school book stalls and distribution of NCERT and state textbooks.
Siddhu Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Madurai — an educational institution associated with the JESSI family, and the first classroom every Jessi idea has to work in.
Jessi Software builds school ERP and learning platforms — the same thinking behind MyJessi and our digital companions.
In their words
How Jessi content works
Every learning outcome, teaching plan and specification on this site traces back to an approved edition. Where a source has not been ingested, the page says so rather than inventing one.
